Balancing the Perception of Aggression with Firm Action

In today's groundbreaking conference session, we’ll tackle the important yet often unaddressed issue of balancing the perception of aggression when women assert themselves through firm action. The session highlights the unique challenges faced by women in positions of power, aiming to empower attendees with strategies and insights to navigate these hurdles successfully. Through inspiring personal stories and evidence-based research, Dr. Renee Smith will shed light on how to effectively communicate firm decisions while maintaining a sense of professionalism and confidence.

  • This session will cover - work life balance, avoiding burnout, and addressing the assumption that girls are taught to be perfect and boys are taught to be brave.

  • This session covers healthy debate and removing assumptions and emotion from conversation. Start with heart, state your path.

  • Explore how to incorporate your faith into your work, without overstepping, and staying true to “you” in tough situations.

Break Out Session Two

11:30 AM - 12:20 PM

  • Focusing on personal finance, this session is intended for those aged 18-45

  • Hitting the needed topics in pre-retirement and retirement for estate planning, tax planning, charitable giving, cash value life insurance, and other pertinent tools for those 45+ years of age.

1:30 - 2:20 PM

  • In this session, we’ll help you stop apologizing for being human, plus develop healthier professional habits to remove that common language.

  • This session will include conversations about making Diversity, Equity and Inclusion approachable, plus the importance of belonging in work and life. Everyone can be an advocate, without being a scholar.

  • In this session, we’ll cover contract negotiations, pitching new ideas, overcoming the fear of rejection and turning a NO into a YES.

During this session, Margot will introduce you to the Courage Zone and ways to break through the Terror Barrier. We’ll dream big by brainstorming with others to develop your goals into a big idea, so you can aim higher than you imagined. You will focus on breaking down the barriers to achieving your big idea and getting to positive, focused solutions. The workshop incorporates traditional project management into the context of making breakthrough change.
