As an impressionable teenager in the 1980s, Debbie Crow keenly observed depictions of women ‘having it all.’ There was even a fragrance commercial that claimed the “24-hour woman” could “bring home the bacon AND fry it up in a pan.” As women began to have opportunities in the workforce well beyond any of the generations before them, they eagerly embraced the idea they could have wildly successful careers, be the perfect mother, be a desirable mate and enjoy all that went with ‘having it all.’ But Debbie soon realized it required every minute of those 24 hours to achieve this fallacy, leaving her exhausted and diminished by imposter syndrome. After all, it seemed that every other woman around her was achieving the dream, why wasn’t she? Join her as she shares her journey of deliberate choices to achieve fulfillment.
